hello....a late entry but an entry indeed.....Sampras beats Federer, and the remark if he is the all time best, is back up again!!! nearly 4 years since he played professional tennis, and Sampras comes back and beats the current World No. 1, someone the whole tennis world fears of. Is that a statement of superiority.
Federer will always be my favorite player. His class is unmatched. Even though, Sampras has beaten him, Federer has the class that is possessed by none other than him. He has the will and power, which adds to his talent and his temperament seals it through. Sampras on the other hand has a game that is surely can't be perfected any way else. Sampras relies on his strengths to beat opponents, Federer on the other hand, well if you can't think of a weakness, u can't even think of a strength. Federer's game is so balanced that none of the department can be declared as better than others. Well said that, Sampras has beaten Federer, hasn't he?
Nicely, putting it, i think for Sampras coming back after 4 years and beating Federer in one of the 3 matches surely backs Sampras for being the "ALL TIME BEST". But Federer is only getting better, thats what he says. Rightly said by someone, that was the nicest gift Federer could gift his idol, a victory over himself.

India Beat Pakistan 3-2
"Hip-Hip hurray for India".......24 years and India has finally beaten pakistan in India. Strange huh......the king of subcontinent found it hard to beat pakistan on its home soil?
Anyways Pakistan can at least relax that it is a 3-2 loss.......so it was pretty close......but the Indian team need to take back quite a bit of learning out of the series...
For India:
+ve's:
1) Sachin back on top. His brilliance was visible in his knocks of 90's/
2) Reliable Yuvraj. Going against my previous post his knocks of near 50 in all of his five innings is really a very big plus.
3) Fielding. Surely the Indians provided a better show in the field. Looks like Robin singh is doing a good job
4) Inspired Leadership: Hats off to Dhoni for being Mr.Cool at all times. Also he had raised his own game to lead from the front both on the field 'keeping' and with the BAT as well.
-ve's:
1) Bowling: Though decent but it wasn't anywhere near brilliant. No single bowler was reliable throughout the series except perhaps Harbhajan.
2) Sehwag: His 39 in the fourth match was his only knock that looked decent. Looks like his one-day innings is going to end.
3) Lacked the finishing touch: In the second match after the brilliance of Sachin, Indians failed to reach a total they deserved. Also the bowlers failed to restrict the PAKs even with a 320+ score. Even in the final match the batsmen were unable to capitalize on starts they got.
4) And last but not the least.....our running between the wickets need to improve.
As for Pakistan their team was no where looking complete and shoaib malik lacked the punch that dhoni possessed. But all in all an interesting series ended, and we will all be looking forward for the test series.

CAT 2007....was it tough?
As i read through the Google results for CAT-2007, the most eye-catching result for me was "EVEN AN ASTROLOGER CANNOT PREDICT CAT"!
Not sure what an astrologer has to do with cat, and why would even try doing such a thing.....but surely no-one can predict what the CAT is going to bring each year. The only thing that is predictable is "CAT being unpredictable".
Surely, this years CAT had enough people guessing what's coming. Somethings were correct, such as the IIM's are now looking more on precision than speed, but what they expect out of students is "general IQ and good English Usage".
Was it tough is what people are asking. Somebody please help me what the RC passages were all about. English Usage was over the head. And Quant.....well u cant crack without practice right? And why the hell were there so many Data sufficiency questions....they don't think students like them right?
Well all said, there is always one field which is essentialy there for scoring. And without Doubt it was "Data Interpretation" this year. Spare of thought to those who kept DI for the end ....hope you had allocated enough time for the easier part. Well it'll make difference to people like me who are struggling to clear the other two, but YEAH it was full of FUN, and as ever the CAT this year was again full of surprises.

Social Networking Sites
The world of Internet is moving towards social networking.Social networking sites with the purpose of dating, matrimony and even job search have been really successful. But the focus has now shifted to other areas of potential .
But people who are betting on all marketplace that is off-line today to come online tomorrow, are mistaken. The trust that comes by meeting people never comes across the Internet. I recently asked a business development manager "Why do you have to travel places to clinch a deal? Why can't you do it over a video conf?".
Well the answer was quite obvious. Well even though these things happen totally offline today, but the world is increasingly getting educated and comfortable with the use of technology in important matters.
Anyways the scope of social networking holds in the future remains to be seen but what it surely is one of the biggest things happening on internet today.

YUVRAJ SINGH Reliable?
Its been nearly five years since the magic of yuvraj has hit the field of Cricket. No one can forget the quarterfinal against Australia where his eighty odd runs, called upon the commentators to announce the birth of a "Prince of Punjab" in cricket.
Well time has passed and yuvraj has achieved what he is capable of. His six sixers in the 20-20 world cup is yet another unforgettable accomplishment. But is he the future that the Indian Cricket is looking forward to.
Well i doubt so. Even now, when india is chasing a big score i always look forward to Sachin and Dravid to do the damage, even if they fail eight out of ten times. Now why is that so. Yuvraj has made an impression in the indian mind that he is carefree and hence perhaps will never take up responsibility as taken by sachin and dravid. Though full of talent and energy, he will perhaps only be remembered for his brief brilliances but will never hold the title of Mr.Resposible. Not to mention his place in test team is still not certain. His footwork isn't anywhere near perfect, and his body language is sometimes very casual.
So what's the deal, Yuvraj still holds a special place in my heart.....but perhaps will not be entitled for "Future of Indian cricket" as he will failed to be as reliable as the so called BIG THREE of indian cricket.
